Digbeth is Good

I’d like to congratulate my mate Nicky Getgood.on her new and excellent blog Digbeth is Good.
Living round here can be hard work sometimes. There are hardly any shops, the council never clean the streets, I could go on. But what Nicky’s showing is that there really is a hell of a lot going on around here both culturally and if you’re into old man pubs. Which I am.
Do sign up especially if you live or work round here.
On another note, I’d also like to congratulate her on succesfully getting a character in the Archers named after her. I wonder who’s responsible for that?

Cheers Tone, thanks a lot! Elsie Getgood on The Archers (’her with the orange beehive and the lipstick’) was indeed a highlight of my life!
Really enjoying this blogging malarkey though it’s keeping me extremely busy. No rest for the wicked, I suppose.

Congrats Nicky on your blogosphere adventures – very fun, almost makes me want to move to Digbeth…
And The Archers – namecheck, what I can say wow. When I got involved with it one of the oldest actors died in the studio, I’m cursed
